The MBA course was started in the year 2000 to make the management education more accessible to students with diverse background. The course is affiliated to Bangalore University and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. Students from different parts of the country are pursuing the MBA course at our college. The curriculum is a product of philosophy that seeks to amalgamate the best of theory and practice. The pedagogy of MBA is a blend of simulation exercise such as case discussions, live projects and presentation along with conventional classroom teaching. The evaluation of performance comes by means of classroom participation, case studies, report preparation, role playing along with other parameters. The department has been conducting various seminars on contemporary issues, delivered by eminent scholars, academicians and corporate personalities.

Eligibility for MBA Program: The prospective applicant must satisfy one of the following eligibility criteria for admissions to the MBA programme.

  • A graduate degree under 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern under any discipline, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate, from a recognized university.
  • An honors degree under 10+2+4 pattern from a recognized university under UGC Act having at least 50% marks in aggregate including languages.
  • In case of SC / ST / Category I candidates, there is a relaxation of 5% in the aggregate of marks obtained in the University Exams MBA admission criteria is based on the valid score of MBA PGCET / CAT / MAT / ATMA or Students seeking admission to MBA degree at VIM must adhere to the guidelines of eligibility prior to sending in their application forms to our Institute.
  • All applications which do not meet with the eligibility criteria listed above shall not be entertained.
